Votaries

Votaries are Clanks most strongly associated with the Divine Kingdom and its Soul Smiths. Many were created for service, but free, escaped, and independently constructed Clanks also exist.

They do not breathe or eat and periodically enter a dreamless restore mode. Brass-sheet bodies can be tough at the surface and hollow within. Unless properly sealed, they function poorly underwater.

Under this campaign's player rule, magical healing does not restore a Votary's HP or Stress. Appropriate repair, restore mode, and ordinary nonmagical downtime recovery remain available. Work with the GM on a character's construction and what they know of it.

The complete player rule is in Campaign Framework for Players.
