# University of Arcana

The university in [Philly](../../300_Locations/Philly.md) that sponsors the expedition. Its campus combines ancient stone buildings with newer timber, daub, wood, and ceramic tile. Four wizards’ towers occupy its corners, with a taller communications needle toward the sea.

The university wants the [mana engine](../../../../../../800_Rules_Reference_Homebrew/Aetherics/Mana%20Engine.md) secured intact and brought home if possible. [Argent Whitehouse](../NPCs/Argent%20Whitehouse.md), [Hagar Font](../NPCs/Hagar%20Font.md), and [Emmeus Stone](../NPCs/Emmeus%20Stone.md) represented it at the briefing. It hopes to study the engine for four years; the [Kinlands](../../../../Setting/World/Regions/The%20Kinlands.md) government may claim it sooner.
